17-July-08 **NEWS** - Well unfortunately the Emmy "Top 5" nominations have been made earlier today, and Anna is not included in her category (obviously we all think she should have been !!). Congratulations to Lee and Kristin for their nominations - plus the show garnered a whole raft of nominations in categories across the board.....The awards are given out on 21st September just before the new season of "Pushing Daisies" premieres on 1st October....So let's hope there is still something to celebrate in a few months !!

19-June-08 Anna is currently starring alongside Lee and Kristin in a TV advert running on the WB Channel in Brazil and Argentina ......altogether now..."bim bam bum bum".... almost surreal !!

05-June-08 **NEWS** - Anna has been highlighted by "Variety" magazine as part of their "leading ladies in Emmy contention" articles. Although most of the article is made up from snippets of earlier interviews, could this point to some good news on the horizon ?? (Watch this space !). You can read the full article at this link .

Also news for "Pushing Daisies" is that it has been voted "America's Favorite New Show" by AOL, and also has been nominated by the Television Critics Association for "Outstanding New Program". And of course the new series starts shooting in about 10 days time !! (more news on that very soon !)

29-March-08 - **NEWS** Pushing Daisies will premiere on ITV1 on Saturday 12 April 2008 - this date has been set for a number of weeks and confirmed in today's "Independent Magazine" Interview .

Anna is featured on the cover and inside today's "Independent Magazine" (wonderful pictures again from Elisabeth Hoff). Also Anna is featured in a 3-page article in the current "Now Magazine" (dated 31 March 2008). Interview added here .

15-March-08 - Anna was interviewed in today's Daily Mail "Weekend" Magazine - I'll add the interview very soon.

Also Anna will be a panelist at the Paley Centre "PaleyFest" in Beverly Hills in LA tonight. The event starts at 7pm and has been sold out for many weeks now. The majority of the cast and crew of "Pushing Daisies"are attending and should provide some new background to how the 2nd series of "Daisies" will pan out. Hopefully lots of new pictures will come from the event - if you attend , feel free to mail any pictures to me and I'll add them to the Gallery (with full credit).

24-February-08 - More Award nominations have been announced for Anna, Lee Pace and "Pushing Daisies"... The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has announced the nominations for the 34th Annual Saturn Awards. Anna is nominated for "Best actress on Television", Lee for "Best Actor on Television" and "Pushing Daisies" for "Best Network Television Series" . Amazingly the Awards will not be given out until 24 June !

04-February-08 - **NEWS** Well it seems to have come out today through reports from the US that Anna will be starring in a new movie "Land of The Lost" with Will Ferrell. The news has been under wraps for the past few weeks while final negotiations have been made as to how the filming will fit in with any renewed "Pushing Daisies" filming schedule . Hopefully by the time the main unit filming has finished, the Writers Strike will be over and it will be straight back to business.... more news soon....

27-January-08 - Latest news on the ITV1 placement of "Pushing Daisies". It now appears that instead of the late night Friday slot, it will either get a 9pm weekdays or 10pm weekend slot . Also at the Press Conference on Friday, Bryan Fuller hinted that the show will most likely return as "Series 2" - You can see more details on The Guardian website at this link

The 6 year contract is fairly standard with a studio..... I'll add the full Closer interview in the next day or so...And more news on whats' happening with Pushing Daisies in the UK....

16-January-08 - Just released to DVD in the USA is one of Anna's earlier superb films - "The War Bride".. for all new fans who have recently discovered Anna through "Pushing Daisies", this is an excellent opportunity to see Anna in a role for which she received a Canadian Genie Award nomination. The DVD is released in the USA through Questar.

15-January-08 - So the disappointing news is that Anna did not win the Golden Globe after all, but it was a wonderful achievement to be nominated - especially after only a handful of episodes. Congratulations still must go to Anna, Lee and all the PD cast and crew who managed to earn such a superb honour in their nominations.......
